We were going to a wedding in Oregon, a granddaughter was getting married. Flying isn’t as much fun as it used to be so we decided to drive. And road trips can be a lot of fun. I’m writing my first blog! So I’m going to write about my first love and I’m not sure what age I discovered that love. I did start very young though and it’s been with me ever since. That love is about food and cooking! I remember begging my mom to teach me how to cook at the age of ten. She should have known about my love because I have a memory from the time of 4 or 5. I was sitting on the kitchen floor in front of all the cupboards and I had them all open. And all around me I had all the pots and pans that had been in the cupboards all around me. I was having so much fun. Then I discovered this bag of white stuff in the cupboard, too. Soon every pot and pan got some of that white stuff. Somehow I didn’t get into trouble over it all. Most likely because I didn’t have access to water! But I do have a small memory of being hauled up and away from my very artful arrangement.
