So what is energy and energy work? Am I referring to an electrician coming out to work with the energy called electricity for our house? No, I’m talking about the energy that we have in and around our bodies, the energy that makes up our bodies. The energy that helps us do so much with these wonderful forms called bodies and with the thoughts in the brain or mind and the feelings in our hearts. Emotions are a form of energy too.
We are all made up of energy. Energy is also called Chi or Prana. The Chinese, Japanese and Indian cultures have studied energy and recognized that you can be aware of the energy in the bodies and manipulate the energy for better health, emotional stability and more. We have an energy field around us that contains an aura. Everything that happens to us affects our energy field. Our energy fields hold much of what happens to us, happy events, traumas and everything in between. Have you ever noticed when something reminds you of an extremely happy event, you immediately start smiling and feeling some fantastic feelings? If you stop to notice, you’ve triggered the event that is in your energy field where you first experienced that happy occasion. The same is true, if not more so with a trauma. Anything close to that trauma sets off that emotional response that we stored there when the initial event took place. And nothing seems to dislodge it.
Energy healing therapy is an alternative healing technique and has been around for many, many years. Some of the alternative healing techniques have been around longer than others. There are many benefits to energy work. I’ll be telling you more in later blogs. We have four main components of our being: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.
I know there may be some skeptics out there. So for them, what if what I’ve said has some validity? What if we can assist ourselves on all these levels by getting some energy work? When you are out of balance in the mental, emotional, spiritual or physical areas of your life, your health is affected. I was a huge skeptic. I came from a very left brain world being a computer programmer for over 35 years. I approached most everything logically but some things happened to me that I couldn’t explain. The car accident forced me to consider other means to healing. The doctors were talking about living with the pain or surgery, fusing discs, etc. I chose to look elsewhere.
There is more to tell and I can’t do it all in one blog without you going cross-eyed. So I’ll close for now. Stay tuned to the next blog!
So tell me, has anything ever happened to you in your life that you couldn’t explain? Have you ever considered trying energy work? If you have had some energy work, please tell me what your experience was.
Julieanne Case came from a left brained world, having been a computer programmer who worked on the Apollo missions and, due to circumstances orchestrated by God/Source/Universe, joined the growing ranks of the right-brained world starting in 2001. Julieanne,
Energy Healing is an essential part of my life and it directs and inspires my work on all levels. My practice of yoga therapy, massage and health coaching all depend on my ability to guide my clients to move and cultivate their life energy. I love energy work!

Who says a woman can’t cultivate her superpowers in a dress?!
http://www.MindfulLivingArts.com
Thanks, Chris. Yes, energy healing is a huge part of my life and I’m always astounded at how it can shift things. I wouldn’t want to live without it!
It sounds very similar to Polarity Therapy? I am all set to start, but with the setback in hubby’s licensure, it will have to wait a while longer when we can better afford it. I grew up in Eastern medicine, going to chiropractic, believing in psychics, etc. as a kid and still believe in those methodologies. I’m very intrigued by energy therapy as I am learning more about it.
I’m not familiar with Polarity Therapy. I will look it up. The thing I love about Reconnective Healing is that I don’t have to know anything about my client. It’s truly between them and Source/God/Allah/Ra/the Universe. This modality brings through light and information on a broadband of frequencies. These frequencies include all the healing modality frequencies we know like reiki, polarity therapy, qigong and so many more frequencies that we have never had on this planet before. The scientists who study this don’t even have the instruments to measure all the frequencies. Profound things happen with this modality. And none of it is up to me or the client. That’s why I love it, that’s why I’m passionate about it!
I do believe we have been created in the image of God and therefore have powers and abilities that we are not even aware of and that transcend anything we can imagine! yes, there have been times in my life when events or circumstances have occurred that defied explanation, and I have always attributed them to divine intervention, I am not at all familiar with energy healing, but I have no doubt that it is possible to tap into the resources God has provided us with to our benefit.
We are all capable of healing ourselves. We’ve forgotten those abilities but many are awakening to them. And I don’t for one minute believe that I am doing the healing. I’m merely the party organizer. I invite you, me and the energies and allow what needs to take place between God and you. I also know that many get a healing and yet it’s not apparent right away. Sometimes it can take 2-4 sessions. If nothing at all happens, then for whatever reason, it’s not time for the healing to take place. In my belief, all that you need to learn from this has not taken place. I’m carrying the energies and because of that I can plan a party. It’s still all up to God and you.
I only have a vague notion of what you are talking about. Since I was an engineer in my former life, I think you’d have to be in complete denial to not understand that everything is made up of energy, including us. This phrase: “The same is true, if not more so with a trauma.” struck me because I had a health setback a number of years ago and after finding the trigger I felt much better. Then, I had another bad experience, and my body immediately remembered the pain and I went to a dark, dark place. It was very telling for me.
You have more than a vague notion, Pat. Those remembered pains can be resolved and dissolved through energy work. I know many have gotten upset about what I’ve written about from my childhood. Yet I can truly tell them and feel nothing. I’m truly telling a story. Sometimes I’ll feel sad for that little girl who had to go through it and had no where to turn. But it’s fleeting. I spent years in psychotherapy and it never resolved any of these feelings that remained until I began getting energy work. I know of a woman who after receiving about 3-5 Reconnective Healings sessions for an illness she has. After her last session, we could see that her symptoms had lessened, the illness wasn’t completely gone but she had changed a lot. She realized that she was so very grateful for her life as it was and that she also knew she was going to be okay whether the illness healed or not. She was a stressed out woman who was very unhappy with pretty much everything before the sessions. We don’t have control over the outcome but I know it’s always best for us because the one in charge of the higher picture is taking care of it.
I have never heard of energy healing, so this was all new to me. From time to time, I’ve dabbled in alternative medicine without any success. Consequently, I’m a skeptic. I look forward to hearing more in future blogs to gain more understanding though.
I’m glad that you have experienced healing via this method!
I hope you’ll read some of the other replies I’ve made here. I think it will help you understand a bit more. I’m working on the next blog for it. And if you have any questions that the posts or the replies bring up for me, please feel free to email me to ask them.
Another thing that is amazing is that energy work can be done hands off and long distance. In fact, the Reconnective Healing energies get stronger with distance. The only modality to do that. And even in person, it is done hands off.
Well I’ve heard you explain this before and it all seems surreal to me. I have just accepted meditation into my life, which for this logical, Driven warrior was a huge thing. It works sometimes, depending on my state of mind and how well I can focus on just “being” and not doing anything. Energy healing seems to be the same for me – it would be a big leap for me to try it. Although I do not doubt it works for some people. I’ll stay tuned for more information from you. And, it’s great that you are so passionate about it!
Well, I’m glad you are meditating. That is another form of energy and meditating can be healing in some ways. And many who don’t believe in energy work have done it and gotten a healing. You don’t need to believe in it to receive a benefit! In fact, some of the biggest skeptics I know became believers and one now does training for Reconnective Healing! He has a MBA in business, had 200 people as a manager at one firm and was a major developer of products for Proctor & Gamble! There is hope for you yet, Laurie!
I’m holding out for your right brain to kick in! You need some balance! LOL!
First Julieanne I want to say that I love your painting its a beautiful representation of your beautiful consciousness. I stepped onto my Spiritual path in 2007 and it really depend and grabbed hold of me in 2008 when I found my teacher. During this time I met many people that practiced the healing arts and always felt a connection to them in some way. I know the energy that we are is life and life for me is another name for Spirit, God, and many other human names. I have never used energy healing but I have had Spiritual healing treatments and received beautiful healings. My studies keep me in the Spiritual realm vs the physical and mental but we all have our own path home so to speak. I have had unexplainable experiences although I am unable to share them, I feel they are Sacred. I am grateful for all seekers and healers in this physical world you all do more than anyone knows. Thank you.
Kirk, what a beautiful thing to say about my painting! Thank you so much! Yes, the spiritual path is something to behold. And each one of us do it in our own way, in our time only to arrive as one in the end. If you have received spiritual healing treatments then you have received energy work. Prayer is energy work. Thoughts create feelings and feelings are energy. All of that combines to affect us all. So when you pray, you are using your thoughts enhanced by your feelings to want to help another, creating an energy wave that reaches out. It is still the responsibility of the receiver’s higher self to accept the healing or not. And judgment must be left out of the whole equation. If someone doesn’t get a healing, it’s not because the giver did anything wrong or that the receiver did anything wrong. It all has to fit in the Divine plan for the receiver and that is not up to us human beings. We can only offer the healing energies.
Even your meditations are a form of energy work. We are all capable of healing ourselves even. We have merely forgotten who we are. Our job in this life is to remember who we are: truly powerful, creative and loving beings.
Okay – shut everything down, cleared cookies and cache so another try! I
have had energy work in the past and even took classes in using it at
one time. Strangely enough it seems to be something I’m drawn to and
attract to me when living in the US – I move4 away from it when I am in
the UK – hmmmm Anyway, I seem to be attracting a lot of energy workers
into my life again now locally and online. I find it fascinating and
can’t wait to hear more!

So glad we are beginning to get our posts working. I did try other modalities and I found many very helpful. Some take up lots more time. Some trainings are getting more and more expensive. I really resonated with Dr. Pearl on the Reconnective frequencies. He’s down to earth, humble, funny, irreverent and sarcastic. He has a big heart and a thirst to understand how this all works and what appealed to my left brain is that he has had scientists from all over the world studying this modality to learn more. He has learned himself to say, and as a result, teaches us to say “I don’t know”. I find this modality to be extremely powerful. And I don’t know how it all really works. I just know it does and I have seen amazing things happen in sessions that are rather mind blowing. And I’ve experienced some in sessions where I have gotten RH.
The biggest thing that happened to me that I couldn’t explain was moving states when I was 32 weeks pregnant to be near my parents and in-laws only to find out right after he was born that he had Down syndrome. Who in their right mind would make a move like that being that pregnant? There was a greater force at work with that one for sure. We needed support and found it before we even knew we needed it.
I’ver never done any energy work, but find the topic very interesting.
I fully understand that need to move during that time. The Universe got you where you needed to be!
I had something happen yesterday that blew my mind. I had no intention of asking anything when I went to exercise. I need lots of hats to take on my hospice visits to memory challenged clients. I went to exercise and out of my mouth I asked the group if they had any hats they wished to dispose of. One woman said I just cleaned out my son’s room and I have all these funky hats and something told me to hang on to them, not give them to good will. A few days later, I asked for hats! We were all blown away by The Universe taking care of this situation! So you see, it happens more than we realize!
Energy work is great for stress relief, traumas, changing things we don’t like about ourselves, healing physical issues, reducing or eliminating pain. It can do a lot in a few sessions, actually less time than it takes to go to a doctor for an issue.
And we don’t realize that most illnesses have an emotional, spiritual component to the dis-ease. I never had allergies growing up and developed them in mid life. I suffered with them for years. They are mostly gone now. I rarely have any issues with allergies.
Love it Julieann. I am always fascinated by energy work and have tried different forms. And sometimes, it’s not that I’m actually doing anything than just being aware of the energy all around me. I used animal Reiki on a cat who was dying so I was able to ease her pain, I’ve worked with hypnotherapy as a client and a practitioner, I’ve done EFT, working with the Chakras and working with the Universal Laws where I can manipulate and bring to me my desires which sometimes freaks people out. I think that is one reason why I can relate to you so well, we both have this desire to help others with our abilities and gifts.
p.s. I just love your painting..those are my colors. they are very healing.
Energy work is fascinating. I love reading about it, breathing it and doing it. We are all energy and all we do creates more energy that results in creating more light or darkness depending on our mood and our emotions. Stay in the light.
Yes, I regularly see an energy worker and I love it. I often tell her…I don’t need to “understand” it…just need to know it works and experience the difference. A very “Class President” Character Code approach! I also love have an energy healer that does spend all the time understanding how it works…so I don’t have to! Brandy 🙂
That’s great Brandy. Energy work is so important and so few people realize it is as important as seeing a chiropractor or a massage person on a regular basis. It helps with centering, balancing and releasing tensions, stress and unwanted emotions that may not even belong to you! So glad you partake of it!
Wow, I might need a few sessions! I am not even totally sure what it is, how it happens, or who does what but if it can heal, I wanna learn! Is it anything like EFT, tapping? Just curious, not that I have tried that either…do you know anyone in my area that does what you do?! Yes, things have happened to me that I can’t explain….its like our conversation about the universe talking to me, making things happen, sometimes its when I say thing happen for a reason. This is very intriguing to me, I’d love to learn more about it!

Learn more, I’m working on more blogs and then you can decide. There is so much to share and how to share it and how to break it up is still being sorted out. If you can’t find someone in your area, this can be done remotely. It is not like EFT at all. In EFT, you are addressing a particular thing and you have to know where to tap and say things as you tap in each area. This is so much easier and can address several things at once. You lie down for 30-35 minutes hopefully with no interruptions or distractions and then you get a chance to say what you experienced. Even when done in person, there is no talking or touching during the session. Some people see things, or hear things or feel things. You never know what will happen and sometimes nothing happens except a feeling of deep deep peace or relaxation. It varies from person to person and session to session. When I’ve done it remotely, sometimes the client has gone so deep that I’ve had to wait for them to wake up, come to or arouse enough to the point that they can contact me to discuss it.
VERY interesting, thanks. Has anyone answered your question, “No, nothing has ever happened that I couldn’t explain.”? I understand so little, and I’m skeptical about most explanations. Hmmm… I’ve never seen an aura, never seen a molecule, never seen almost everything that most of us take for granted. Like Paris or Moscow. But I’m comfortable with the uncertainty, and I don’t need to know how or why. I’m in favor of anything that works and does no harm. So I’m looking forward to your next post.
Ok, if they had answered No, I would think it is because they never realized it or taken the time to notice it or were afraid to acknowledge it. I’ve never seen an aura but I have a question for you. Have you ever been around someone who gets to close to you and you feel uncomfortable and you don’t know why? That person’s energy is affecting your energy and they are standing close enough to impact your energy field. Or someone enters a room and you feel some unease or a disturbance but you can’t put your finger on it? Some people’s unbalanced energies can create this by walking into a room. Pay attention when you are around a lot of people. Maybe in your business you’ve trained yourself to ignore it and just do your thing. It’s a little niggle that you makes you want to turn around and look to see what just happened. You turn around and see nothing and think it’s all in your head. It truly isn’t. Your energy field has been disturbed in a way. I’d love to know if you’ve ever experienced any of the above.
I’ve had energy work done by my accupuncturist and also my business coach. Both of them have different styles, yet when the timing is right help me sort thru whatever is hanging over me or my body. You ask if there’s even been something in my life that I can’t explain and I’ll so absolutely all the time! And sometimes it the way I feel after having some energy work done too!
That’s great Jennifer, I’m glad you found something that works for you. I think everyone should be getting energy work on a regular basis. I believe it would help everyone stay healthier too! One day I believe it will become the norm. Thanks for sharing.
Try #2: I believe in energy work though I’ve never had any done personally. Can’t wait to learn more and thanks for bringing me on the educational journey!
There is so much to tell. I’ve had to give some background info in the next post. This will give a clearer understanding on what things happened over the years. Some of the energy processes take time as you peel one layer of the onion to get to the next layer. It’s a process. And I learned along the way about other modalities that led me to Reconnective Healing. So I”ll continue writing and hopefully those who are learning about it the first time will have a better understanding. The thing about energy work is that it can really only do good things. Then I’ll be able to share what I’ve experienced as the practitioner and what my clients have shared without naming names of course! Although a few have written testimonials for me.
I can’t explain most of what has happened in my life and yet the mystery keeps unfolding! I have been on the giving and receiving end of energy work for many years and know that it can be very powerful when it comes from a clear, loving space rather than an attempt to “get results.” It seems to have a life of its own life, its own process– and while sometimes subtle, it can also sudden and obvious. The energy modalities that I trust the most are those that do involve the release of old, stuck feelings in the body and psyche, where the receiver is a participant in the process. But I know that many other kinds are effective as well.
I’m quite familiar with energy work as my husband and I had some done years ago. My husband still goes anytime he feels the need to clear something specific and often comes home recounting other aspects that were uncovered during his visit. I have to say I was a skeptic at first but after seeing the results my husband has experienced I am a believer now.

That’s wonderful, Darcie. Yes, we are all trained so well from early on to only trust what we can smell, touch or feel with our hands. Take a med for this, then when that med causes symptoms, take another med for the symptoms. There is much in the unseen that can be observed so other senses including getting very quiet and going inside to get in touch with them. That’s the realm that the energy worker gets to play with! And it’s fun!
Thanks, Susan. I know that we’ve all been raised to only trust and believe in doctors. Doctors were to know everything. We learn differently but no one ever taught us about the energy we are made up of and the energy fields around us. This is such an amazing aspect. If everyone truly got it, they could go to an energy worker instead of a doctor who gives you one med, then another to resolve the symptoms the first med caused, etc. Doctors would only be needed for surgeries or broken bone mending. Although I know of energy workers who have healed broken bones too! Of course, this would impact the drug companies quite a bit!
Interesting comment you made on your husband. Did he only try it one time? What type of energy work did he get because that can affect the results? I find it interesting that someone will go to doctor time and time again with no results but will only give an energy worker one visit. Sometimes other things have to be removed before the issue that got you to an energy worker can leave. I remember a woman went to an energy worker for knee problems. She went several times but the knees didn’t heal. Then the woman was reached by her doctor frantically trying to reach her because her paperwork had gotten lost and her heart was in a bad state and she needed to come in. She went in and they repeated the tests and everything with her heart was now resolved. Her tests came back normal. So during her visits to the energy worker, the heart was being healed. The thing about energy work is that you can’t see the results sometimes but it doesn’t mean you didn’t receive a healing. We don’t have the big picture but we think we do!
Working in the qi field is an absolute passion of mine and I loved reading your perspective, Julieanne. Plus you made me laugh out loud a few times and what better way to raise the vibration? I think of energy as so palpable—the latest being how I get chills when someone says something that feels/is so right to me. That wonderful shivery feeling? Energy Up!
