There actually is a relationship with these four words? I was reading Seth‘s blog about shipping versus rushing. I began to think about all the times I am racing to save those few minutes or I don’t take the time to read small, charming blogs or informative, thought provoking blogs like Seth’s. For me, I can get a fresh perspective on something or it makes me think about what I may be doing along the same lines. Most of Seth’s blogs are quite short, which I love, yet they are packed and insightful at times. Yet I won’t make the time to read them many times. I realized I need to take the time to read things that make me reflect. Simple, isn’t it?
And this applies to meditation as well. Did you know that the word meditate means “to get to know”? I really need to get up a bit earlier or maybe a lot earlier so I can meditate but I argue with myself on how comfortable it feels in bed and how I’d love just a few more minutes to sleep. I feel so much calmer and peaceful when I meditate. I know it’s my ego mind who wants to stop me from it. And I wonder if I am strong enough to overcome it! Seriously? It’s my mind, my body, my choice! Who is in charge?
I did my meditation today. It was a guided meditation and I did some 55 minutes of it. I didn’t realize it was such a long one so I need to get up 20 minutes earlier to do the full thing. I need to also let go of the fact that I didn’t do the whole thing and congratulate myself on doing 55 minutes of it.
We are the creators of our reality and we are charge of time as well. Why do I make myself crazy with thoughts like there isn’t enough time? What we think we create and thinking of the lack of time creates the lack of time. I need to shift my lack thinking on time to having an abundance of time and know that what doesn’t get done will be there and get done as needed!
I intend to be more mindful of my time lack mentality. I’m making the choices and I will remind myself who is in charge. Does any one have any little tricks they use to overcome the ego mind or the lack of time? Please share!
