I was told recently by a dear friend I admire that she sees me as a healer.  She said that “Everything you do is healing. Art, The Reconnection, your interests, the way you speak. Everything.”.  I was rather startled, stunned and yes, pleased. That is a lovely thing to hear about yourself.  Yet I have a problem with being called a healer. I believe if I accept that label, my ego will get involved.   I also firmly believe that all of us are healers and many have not awakened that facet of themselves. Some of us may be capable of allowing healing to occur in others and ourselves.

We too can transform!

We too can transform!

What I am becoming more and more aware of when I think of it, is that I am merely a conduit or an activator or an facilitator for another’s healing. It is not me doing the healing. I really don’t want that status. It’s not coming through me. All healing comes from Source/God/Love. I  think of myself as the party coordinator so to speak of the other’s person to their own healing.

Energy healing falls under the heading of alternative medicine. Besides physical healing, energy healing can also result in mental, emotional and spiritual healing. You are not limited to one type of healing either with energy healing. In Reconnective Healing, you can receive a healing in one or all four.  The Reconnection process can also result in healings too but it is really here to put you on the fast track for your own spiritual growth.

For other people working with energy healing, how many times have you worked with someone and they don’t receive a healing? Maybe they aren’t ready to be healed. Yet if we believe that we are the healer, then it brings up all those issues of failing.  True healing occurs when the person receiving the energies is open and ready to receive the healing.  As a practitioner, we cannot force another to receive a healing.  So if they don’t get a healing, have we failed?  No.  It’s not up to us to receive the healing, it’s up to the client, actually to their higher self and Source. A person may consciously want a healing and it may or may not occur.  The higher self or soul does not agree with the conscious self.

As Love Grows by Julieanne Case

I am now comfortable with saying I a healing practitioner and I love facilitating another’s healing. The healing really occurs between the person needing the healing and what I call Source/God/Buddha/Allah, substitute what is comfortable for you.  I’m the facilitator and I love that part.  I love playing with the energies.  Yes, I certainly love seeing people receiving a healing – it’s a big payoff for me. It’s gratification that I was able to serve another. Yet I always remind myself that I’m not the one who did the healing.  I just got to be a spiritual matchmaker of sorts, if you will.  I know that even when it’s not apparent, they got some form of  healing and the results will appear at another time.  Acceptance is an important key to all of this.

So what is your take on the term healer? Does healing come from the beings we are or from outside of us?
